Fleet Driver Training for Employers

Fleet driver training starts with the vehicles your staff need to use and the entitlement they already hold. We offer HGV training for companies and invoice employers directly.

Match training to the work your company needs

An employer booking driver training should start with the operational requirement rather than a generic lorry course. List the vehicles the employee will drive, their plated weights and whether trailers are involved. C1 is the 7.5 tonne route, Category C is for larger rigid lorries and Category C+E covers articulated and drawbar combinations. The existing licence pages explain the differences so you can request the course that fits the role.

An employee moving from vans into a rigid needs a different course from a Category C holder preparing for articulated work. D1 and Category D are separate passenger routes. Tell us which vehicles the employee will use rather than assume goods entitlement covers passenger work.

Published course packages for staff

The C1 course is £995 and includes 12 hours of in-vehicle training. Category C is £1,695 with 16 hours, and Category C+E is £2,895 with 25 hours. Each of these published packages includes the medical, theory and case study preparation, study material and the driving test. The hours are specific to the category; do not apply a generic training allocation to every member of staff.

For passenger vehicles, D1 minibus training is £995 with 12 hours in vehicle and Category D bus training is £1,695 with 16 hours. Their published packages also include the medical, theory preparation, materials and test. Confirm the employee’s current licence before requesting the full route, because someone who already holds the required entitlement may need renewal or an additional qualification rather than another licence course.

Plan the driving days around earlier stages

Practical training follows the medical, provisional entitlement and relevant theory stages. When asking about dates, explain whether those stages are already complete and what availability the employee can protect for training. Existing course information describes consecutive-day practical blocks. Discuss the actual course timetable with the team rather than assume that a particular start date can be guaranteed or that all employees can progress on an identical schedule.

If several staff need training, set out each person’s category and starting point. Tell us how many employees need training and ask about the delivery and booking arrangements available for your group. A useful group enquiry gives the number of employees, the courses required and the preferred timing, leaving the arrangements to be confirmed before a booking is approved.

Driver CPC, ADR and transport-office training

Established professional lorry and bus drivers need periodic Driver CPC. Our classroom courses are £55 per seven-hour course, with 35 hours over five years described in the existing offer. New professional drivers have a separate initial route, including Module 4 training and test at £199. Include the employee’s CPC position in the enquiry so a renewal request is not mistaken for an initial qualification.

ADR training is available at our Glasgow centre for dangerous-goods work, with Core and Packages from £496. Ask about the module combination matching the loads your drivers carry. For transport-management staff, the Glasgow classroom Transport Manager CPC course is £1,300, while live online training through Microsoft Teams is £950 across the UK. Haulage and Passenger routes are offered. These are management qualifications, not additional driving categories.

Direct company invoicing and the first enquiry

We invoice employers directly. Tell us the company name, the person arranging training and the course that needs approval. The existing sponsorship guide discusses agreements between an employer and a learner; any repayment or service condition is for your organisation to explain to the employee. Discuss any sponsorship terms directly with your employee before arranging the booking. We offer finance options, but employer invoicing and an individual finance arrangement are different conversations.

Use the form with your name, work email, phone number and details of the employees and vehicles involved. Mention whether you need a licence course, CPC hours, ADR or transport-management training. Our base is 130 Blochairn Road, Glasgow, and the existing coverage is Glasgow and the surrounding 60-mile area. The team can discuss the appropriate courses and current arrangements for your employees.

Questions we get asked about this

Yes. Direct employer invoicing is already offered for company-sponsored drivers and driver groups.

What Our Customers Say

Feedback from our learners

Once I passed my theory/hazard perception test, I the took my C1 training with Jordan, who made my driving experience a pleasure, Jordan was patient and made me feel at ease the whole time I was driving: advising on things I might change and letting me know when I had driven well etc, really relaxed me to the point of passing my test 1st time after 10hrs of lessons. Very happy customer.

I recently trained for a Class 1 licence with Pass4me and managed to pass first time due to the great training I received. Everyone was very helpful, helped me gain confidence, and made the training enjoyable with the daft patter. Highly recommend David and the rest of the team if you are looking to do HGV training!
