The mistake Ayrshire drivers make is booking single training days weeks apart. You lose progress between sessions and spend more time on the A77 than in the cab. Consecutive days keep the skills fresh, keep the fuel bill down and shorten the gap between your first lesson and your test.

Rural driving is not easier driving

Single track access, farm entrances, exposed coastal roads in a crosswind and long stretches where you meet nothing until you meet something at the worst possible moment. Ayrshire trainees often arrive confident on open roads and find the yard manoeuvring the harder half. We spend the time where it is needed rather than to a fixed script.

Is it worth travelling for?

Fairly asked. Our prices are inclusive, so there is no medical fee or test fee appearing later to change the maths, and our published first time pass rate is 85%, which is the figure that really decides whether a second trip up the A77 for a retest is on the cards.
