Usually it comes down to dates. If a course elsewhere cannot start you for weeks, and you are trying to be licensed before a job offer expires, an hour on the M8 stops being the deciding factor. Livingston, Bathgate and Broxburn sit halfway along the corridor and are closer to us than the city itself. Drivers from there often find the journey shorter than commuting into Edinburgh for work, which makes booking consecutive training days straightforward.

Planning it properly

We arrange the D4 medical and the theory and case study early, then run the in vehicle hours in blocks: twelve hours for C1, sixteen for Category C and twenty five for C+E. The test is included in the course price, so nothing separate appears at the end.
