ADR Refresher Training: Renewing Before Your Certificate Expires
A shorter route to keeping the certificate you already hold, from £300, provided you book before the expiry date rather than after it.
An ADR certificate is valid for five years. Refresher training with a further SQA examination renews it and starts from £300 with us. If the certificate expires before you renew, the refresher route closes and you retake the full course at the higher price.
Check the date before you read any further
The expiry is printed on the certificate itself. Renewing inside the final year is normal, and the new period runs from the existing expiry rather than from your course date, so booking early costs you nothing in validity.

Use the renewal to change your mix
Most drivers renew exactly what they had five years ago without thinking about it. If your work has moved from packaged distribution into tankers, this is the cheapest moment to add tanks, and if you have never once carried a class on your certificate you can stop paying to keep it.
What the refresher classroom is like
It moves faster than the initial course because it assumes you have been doing the job. The time goes on regulatory changes since your last certificate, incident learning, and examination preparation, then you sit the SQA paper for the modules you hold.
Employers renewing several drivers
We invoice companies directly and can group drivers whose certificates fall due in the same period. Operators often pair the visit with periodic Driver CPC at £55 per seven hour course so the depot loses fewer days.
