HGV Training With Job Support in Glasgow

Training for a lorry licence is usually about getting into work. We assist our drivers in obtaining full time employment in haulage industry, alongside the course itself.

We assist our drivers in obtaining full time employment in haulage industry. That support sits alongside our HGV courses, such as Category C at £1,695 and C+E at £2,895, each including the medical, theory, training and test. We do not promise a job, because employers make their own hiring decisions, but we help you train for the work you are aiming at.

What HGV training with job support means here

Some providers advertise HGV training with a job as if the two come as one package. Be careful with any offer that guarantees work, because the hiring decision always sits with the employer. Our approach is simpler: we train you for the licence that matches the work you want, and we assist our drivers in obtaining full time employment in haulage industry once they are qualified.

The most useful thing you can do is tell us your goal on the first call. If you want local day work, nights, trunking or tanker work, the right first licence can be different, and so can the order you add qualifications.

Choosing the licence employers ask for

Matching training to the jobs you want
LicenceTypical work it opens
C1, £9957.5 tonne delivery, ambulance and welfare vehicles
Category C, £1,695Rigid lorries in distribution, construction and waste

The steps from enquiry to work

Talk about the goal

Tell us the type of work, shifts and travel you have in mind.

Pick the licence

We match the course to that work, and explain if a later upgrade makes sense.

Train and pass

Medical, theory, in-vehicle training and test are included in each course price.

Get work ready

Driver CPC, a tachograph card and, where needed, ADR, so you can start when offered.

What employers check

Before a start date, employers usually check your licence category, a valid Driver CPC card, your tachograph driver card and your driving record. Initial Driver CPC includes the Module 4 practical demonstration, which is £199 with us, and periodic CPC training is £55. Having these ready means less waiting between passing and starting.

Our HGV driver jobs in Glasgow guide explains the local work in more detail, and the salary guide covers how pay is built so you can compare offers.

Questions worth asking any provider

  • Is the medical, theory and test included in the price, or charged separately?
  • Does the offer promise a job, and if so, who is the employer and what are the terms?
  • Which licence category do the jobs you want actually ask for?
  • What happens if you need extra lessons or a retest?

Clear answers to these questions help you compare HGV training with job support offers fairly, rather than on a headline promise alone.

Paying for training

We offer finance options, and employers can also pay for drivers' training. If you are changing career, read our finance guide before you enquire so you know which questions to ask.

Questions we get asked about this

No. We assist our drivers in obtaining full time employment in haulage industry, but employers make their own hiring decisions.

What Our Customers Say

Feedback from our learners

Once I passed my theory/hazard perception test, I the took my C1 training with Jordan, who made my driving experience a pleasure, Jordan was patient and made me feel at ease the whole time I was driving: advising on things I might change and letting me know when I had driven well etc, really relaxed me to the point of passing my test 1st time after 10hrs of lessons. Very happy customer.

I recently trained for a Class 1 licence with Pass4me and managed to pass first time due to the great training I received. Everyone was very helpful, helped me gain confidence, and made the training enjoyable with the daft patter. Highly recommend David and the rest of the team if you are looking to do HGV training!
